In this part, trial resumes and a new witness takes the stand: Richard Wellington, a drifter who was taking a walk through the park and oversaw the murder. Mr. Wellington is rather annoying and has a bad superiority complex.
Mr. Wellington gives a testimony about what he saw. For some reason, he thinks he saw some bananas at the scene of the murder. Phoenix shows that there were no bananas; the witness mistook the yellow baseball glove for a group of bananas. The witness has bad eyesight, and he was not wearing his glasses at the time of the murder! Therefore, his testimony should be inadmissible!
Wellington gives more testimony, this time about the moment after the murder. He claims that he called the police immediately, but the autopsy report shows that the victim died 17 minutes before the police were called. That's not immediate! Wellington lies and says he spent the 17 minutes looking for a phone booth, as he had lost his cell phone that day.
