In this part, Phoenix unlocks Pearl's secrets. He breaks her psyche locks by using various pieces of evidence, and he learns what she was doing at the time of the murder. It turns out she was playing with her ball in the Winding Way, but she accidentally broke Mystic Ami's urn. She was busy trying to fix the urn with glue, but she accidentally put the pieces back together incorrectly because she's not a good speller.
Phoenix then decides to stop investigating Pearl and to resume his investigation of Ini Miney. Lotta Hart gives Phoenix a big clue: Ini was let out of the hospital six months ago. Sounds like Phoenix will have to investigate by going to the hospital!
