Pikmin 4 Boss 5: Crusted Rumpup
3Yeah... purple pikmin are still kinda OP.
Difficulty: 2.5-5/10
So the crusted rumpup will charge you in an attempt to eat pikmin but that was the only attack I ever saw him do. Otherwise you just need to circle around him and weigh down his tail. Purple pikmin make this a joke because 2 of them are more than enough to win. That being said considering that in order to get purples this early you need blue pikmin and this boss guards what I'm assuming is meant to be where you'll first collect a blue onion (there are multiple onions of each type) but with jank maneuvers you can get one in the tutorial zone.
Really this boss isn't bad and if you don't have access to blues you don't have purples. So yeah this fight could be kind of difficult with just reds, yellows, and whatever blue and ice pikmin you found in the caves.
