Pikmin Emperor Bulblax, The Secret Safe, and Good Ending
9The 16th and Final Day of our Pikmin Walkthrough, we enter The Final Trial and get to work. I will say, doing this is one day (unless you are on Day 30) is not required by any means.
We start by grabbing a good group of Blues and have them start unraveling the stick bridge. Then take 3 Yellows (trust me, more only complicates things) and get them over to the bomb rocks, and back to the shore (if a bomb rock touches water it disappears). Once the bridge is set up we can put away the Blues and get more Yellows, have the bomb rock trio knock down the the reinforced gate and send all of the Yellows to unravel the stick bridge on the other side. Now we fill out our squad with Reds and set them up on the fiery bridge, guide them across (and hope they don't just randomly jump over the side), and once the bridge is set up direct the Reds to the Box to push it out of the way (wait for the bridge because they will fall into the water). Once everyone is on the far side of the bridges knock down the gate (and then maybe make it so you have a good bit more Red Pikmin then Yellow Pikmin). In the arena we have another gate to knock down and beyond it we have bomb rocks galore!
Now we are all set to Fight Emperor Bulblax (this is where I would suggest going to the next day if you have less than half a day left). To activate Emperor Bulblax throw a Pikmin on top of him, keep the others at a distance as he will throw them back when he emerges. To stun him he has to eat a bomb rock, though there are ways to get the Yellow Pikmin out of there safely (a well timed whistle so it runs back and drops the bomb rock as the Emperor sticks his tongue out), the easiest way to do it is to just put a Yellow Pikmin with a bomb rock in his eye line and left him eat them both as you gather Red Pikmin for an attack. WHEN ATTACKING AIM FOR HIS CHEEKS NOT HIS HEAD, when the stun ends he will lick his lips and eat any Pikmin that are on him, UNLESS they are on his cheeks. You can keep this cycle up until you run out of bomb rocks. Alternatively, you don't have to use any bomb rocks as long as you throw Pikmin exclusively on his cheeks, so he doesn't eat them.
Either method you do once Emperor Bulblax is defeated he will sink into the sand and give up Olimar's Secret Safe! Gather up the Pikmin and have them carry it back to the ship. Once the S.S. Dolphin is fully restored Olimar is ready to return home, waves goodbye to the Pikmin and heads out, and we get the Happy Ending and the Credits!
