Completely unrelated to the ocean-farung strategy game by Sid Meier, Pirates the arcade game is a complete rip-off of Cabal, but this pirate-themed shooter is actually really good fun, and a lot more polished than I was expecting.

The objective is to simply shoot enough bad guys to earn passage to the next stage, each of which contains multiple layers of destructible scenery.
