Our brave protagonist make it to La Cuna? But are things too good to believe there? What mysteries lie underneath the mountain.

At first, the town seems idyllic and peaceful. The harvest looks bountiful and townsfolk seem happy. They learn about the islands religion, worshiping a child of embers. But when Arnaud attacks the Count during the festival, we learn about Arnauds true intention, to use Hugo as a weapon to get revenge on the Count

Arnaud is jailed by the Count's guards, when Amicia and Hugo intervene to stop Arnaud's assassination. The Count, grateful to Amicia and Hugo, take them in as guest in the Palace under his and the Countess' care.

All seemed well until Amicia and Hugo start poking around and discover the true nature of the cult. Among their chapels they learn that Hugo is not the first carrier of the Macula, and that Amicia is his protector, destined to keep him safe.

They must follow the blood trail to the fortress on the coast, to find out the true fate of the original carrier and his protector.
