Planet Alpha is a Sidescrolling platformer, where you avoid dangers by hiding in the bushes or simply run away. You also have to climb and jump over pits, sometimes you solve puzzles. The game comes in a really nice looking 3D Alien World with Retro Sci-Fi Robots attacking it. If you die, you restart from the last checkpoint, you just don't see them. You also don't see any level or chapter transition. You get some cutscenes, but they are directly a transition in the gameplay. so it's hard to see, if this did started a new chapter.
In other words, so far the levels are nearly connected seemless.

Your character doesn't speak, there is no text to read. All that happens is told in pictures, well in the gameplay, moving pictures.
