Planet Zoo and Laptops or : Why your laptop may not be able to run Planet Zoo
Hello and welcome to another tech related video where we'll be taking a look at the differences between regular laptops and specific gaming laptops, why the latter even exists, and what options you have if you want to play planet zoo on a laptop.
As always, if you have any questions, feel free to comment down below, and I'll do my best to help !
Some additional info:
-Integrated graphics cards are usually combined with your cpu and leech off your ram. This means that if you have 4 gbs of ram, and your gpu takes 1, you only have 3 left for everything else. Dedicated cards come with their own ram, which is the GB information that comes with the card. For example, an NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB has its own 6 GB of ram.
-Integrated graphics cards can be quite powerful nowadays, and there are a lot of reasons to, in fact, get an integrated card rather than a dedicated one- playing Planet Zoo just isn't on that list.
-Many laptop specific cards will say so in their name/have a different name, even if they're dedicated cards, so don't let that irritate you. Simply search google for a bit and try to figure out if the card is integrated (combined with a processor or gpu) or a separate, dedicated card. You can of course also ask the salespeople about that, if you plan on buying an item in person.
-If you're low on money and consider buying a new laptop, check out refurbed/refurbished builds. Those are usually a bit cheaper than new ones, but will work just as well.
