Playing around with some Artisan Guild Miniatures!
***The end of the video got chopped off! We'll post it separately very shortly!***
As time goes by I find my attention continuing to turn to the realm of 3D printed models. They keep getting better and better, and yet... I still don't own a 3D printer.
I was quite impressed by Artisan Guild's recent Amazon kickstarter and was curious to see how the models turned out. I took a quick glance through Etsy and ordered a few random models (through licensed printers), as it was easier than trying to get time allotted at any of the local printing places (plus I have no clue what I'm doing).
Here are the results!
I'm sure a lot of the factors that I ran into were issues that could be addressed by fiddling with the printer, but overall I have to say I was quite impressed by the quality.
Plus I have to say, once I primed them they really weren't that different in texture, feel, and detail than any other painted models I had hanging around
