Sadly, you cannot use a Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) to Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) controller converter adapter in order to use a PS2 Guitar Hero guitar controller on PS3. The PS3 hardware ends up recognizing the PS2 Guitar Hero guitar controller as a standard DualShock controller and not as a Guitar Hero guitar controller, therefore only allowing you to add vocals in supported RockBand, Guitar Hero, Band Hero, and PowerGig video games (provided that a USB microphone is also connected of course).
