This is my overview and tour of the Osm And Plus app for Android. This paid app (acquired through promotion from the Amazon App Store) allows the user to download and store maps on their smartphone or tablet device for offline use, and allows the user to map out and navigate GPS navigation routes offline and away from Wi-Fi, Data Network, or any sort of internet connection. More than just an alternative to Google Maps, OsmAnd+ also allows the user to GPS navigate to multiple destinations or waypoints, allows GPS navigation to re-route the user when offline and away from Wi-Fi or Data Network, and allows the user to view their speed and altitude. You can select between the fastest or the shortest route, can specify your preferred automatic zoom distance, and can elect to prefer or avoid toll roads, ferries, unpaved roads or motorways (highways). With an added data network (internet) connection, the app can warn the user about speed limits, traffic warnings, and speed cameras.
