Prepare yourselves ! Here's the shortest track of the game, but not the easiest : DownTown.

DownTown is... sorry, was a busy neighborhood of New Colombus. It's now a short and twisty track, waiting for the 8 last survivors of the planet Io. The key here, more than any other track in POD, is to take all the corners like a professional driver : outside-inside-outside. The roads are fairly wide, so don't hesitate to take advantage of that and anticipate every turn. I know that it's a basic thing, but DownTown is THE place to use this technique.

A good setup is also essential here. You'll rarely reach high speeds here, that's why you can lower the max speed and enhance the grip to the max. Handling is not very important because of the wide roads, however if you aren't at ease with the race path yet, you can begin with a slow but reactive setup, I'd say 100-0-100-50-50. When you begin to master the track, put less handling and more max speed, until you feel yourself comfortable. If you want a good basis, my setup in this video is 100-0-100-35-65.

Last thing : DownTown is a 8-lap race, so you'll certainly have some problems with the slowest AIs... like me at lap 6 with Toshio and its boring Bakar. I shouted "Get out of my way, dumbass !" to him every time ^^
