Not very helpful when you waste a gym battle for no pawns. i literally went through like 8 routes/areas. no gym battle just yet though. Hope you enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rules:
1-You may only Catch the first Pokémon on each new route.
2-you can only catch 15 Pokémon(not including starter)Total Of 16 Pokémon.
3-Must nickname them after what they are or variant.
4-If a Pokémon faints it is considered dead and cannot be replaced.
5-Each Pokémon you get must be given a role before being able to battle:
King
-Your starter must be the King. The King must always be in your party.
-If the King dies, it's game over.
-King Can do everything.
Queen
-Only female Pokémon may be the Queen.
-Queen Can do Everything
Bishop
-May only have two damaging moves at any time.
-only piece that can use Items in battle
Knight
-May not use moves which have a base power below 60.
-only piece that can use Held Items
Rook
-May not use damaging moves with secondary effects on the enemy (like ember and Burn possibility). They may use non-damaging moves, however.
-only piece that can learn Tms
Pawn
-May not evolve ever.
-Cannot be Fully Evolved
-cannot use TMs, Held Items, Items in Battle
-If a Pawn kills the final Pokémon of any major battle (Gym, E4) by itself, it can become a knight, bishop, rook or a Queen
