This is a bit of an odd route, as it has a special mechanic to it. The grass here is covered in volcanic ash. If you have the Soot Sack, each step you take through it gives you one unit of ash. If you collect enough, you can use it to craft special items, some of which are REALLY useful. We also meet Spinda, a rather enigmatic Pokémon. The real problem though is Skarmory... That is going to be quite annoying...
