Commentary
Sashimi! came to Little Root to spend time with his parents. However, his father's constantly maintaining his gym and his mother's forgetful. Sashimi! spent his ride to Little Root in the back of the moving truck. He was lucky none of the heavy furniture and delicate table sets fell on him. Sashimi! emerged from the trailer and jumped onto stable ground. His mother came out of the quaint house and he brushed past her as he walked into the house. He went up to his room and looked around. A blue clock hung on his wall next to the T.V. The wall ornament stared at him in silence. A sigh escaped his lips. The thing hasn't worked in years and he wasted no time fixing it. The murmur of the news jingle found its way to Sashimi! from downstairs. He went down and found his mom viewing a field reporter interviewing Sashimi!'s dad. The boy left home to explore town. He met his next door neighbor, a woman who had two girls. She invited him to her home. In the dinning room Sashimi! sat across from the woman at a table. A cup of steaming light brown liquid looked up at him. Heavy running echoed from behind him. He turned to see a streak of green rush out the door. Sashimi! excused himself and left to see the lab at the south of town. Not a soul inside save for a single researcher. The researcher told Sashimi! Birch, the head of the lab, went out for field work. The second the boy left the lab a troubled young girl ran at him panting. Between her heaves she said someone's in trouble on Route 101. Sashimi! sprinted to 101 and heard the cries for help. He followed them further into the route. Then he saw a man dressed in a lab coat and shorts backing away from a growling Zigzagoon. The man noticed Sashimi! and so did the Pokemon. The man called out to him. As the Zigzagoon charged the boy. Sashimi! ran to the bag meters ahead. He dug into it and threw a Pokeball, that he found inside, at the thing. The battle commenced and Sashimi! and the small blue creature inside the ball chased the wild Pokemon away. The man was grateful and thankful and let Sashimi! keep the animal that the boy decided to call Twankie. Birch, the man, introduced himself. Sashimi! left town knowing his mom wouldn't much care if wasn't home for a while. He ventured into Oldale town and past into Route 103. Birch's daughter hid in the deepest part of the route. When Sashimi! came to a dead end she challenged him to a battle. After he whooped her she introduced herself as May. She noted that he was a pretty good battler and dragged him back to Little Root where she recommended him for a Pokedex to Birch. The professor obliged and gave him some Pokeballs as well. Sashimi! decided to wander Hoenn there wasn't much at home to do and maybe he'll get to see his dad. Just before he left town he heard his mother calling. She ran up to him and after a scolding she wished him luck on his adventure.
