Commentary
Sashimi! sets off for Fallarbor town up north. He passes through the Fiery Path, a steaming hot cave filled with poisonous and fiery Pokemon. Just as Sashimi! steps outside of the path a wild Torkoal jumps out to attack him. The boy sends out his Rolos to combat the fire-type. Rolos hit the Pokemon with a Stun Spore but the white smoke it extruded blew the paralytic powder away. Sashimi! ordered Rolos to try again. This time it hit but the white hot fire Torkoal spewed hit Rolos. The plant suffered severe burns and couldn't move. Sashimi! called her back afraid for its life. He sent out Strawburst to mitigate the Pokemon's fury. After weakening it Sashimi! threw a Poke ball and caught it. He decided to call it Twix. With Rolos out of commission making it to Fallarbor seemed nearly impossible. Soon after exiting the path Sashimi! ran into a botanist. She nearly beat him. just when Sashimi! was certain he'd never make it to Fallarbor a cottage peeked out from a line of trees. He made a bee-line for the house. An elderly lady was the only resident. Sashimi! rested letting his Pokemon recover and set out when Rolos felt better. On the way to Fallarbor he came across another cottage north of Mt. Chimney. The volcano constantly rained ash onto Route 113, where the cottage was. The man within it gave Sashimi! a sack and told him to gather soot. Sashimi! left for Fallarbor. After resting at the Poke center left wandered the town. Eventually a woman by the name of Lannette ran out of a quaint house. She looked distressed. Sashimi! asked her what was wrong. Lannette told him that a colleague of hers "went" to Meteor Falls with a couple of thugs. She was worried ab out him but couldn't go to Meteor Falls. The cave's footing was treacherous and filled with menacing Pokemon. Lannette asked the young trainer to check on him. Sashimi! headed for Meteor Falls within he saw a man dressed in a lab coat being glared at by two people dressed in red and black. Just as the boy ran to help Archie and two Aqua grunts scared the thugs away. The trainer came up to them wary of the Aquas. Archie assured the boy he had nothing to fear now. The blue pirate also told him the thugs were part of Team Magma and they planned to use Mt. Chimney soon.
