Pokemon Gold Version - GBC playthrough part 49 (recorded 2023-09-05)
1This take was mostly played on a RetroArch emulator with a PS5 controller. The trading sequences were played on the TGB-dual emulator.
I have a copy of the game for Game Boy Color but got a new gaming PC and wanted to test how well everything plays on it for convenience.
This is just a full playthrough with the game's audio only and no commentary.
My goal in this playthrough is to catch an unused copy of every Pokemon possible in the wild to back up in PkHex.
During this part I started multiple new files just to get more starter Pokemon and traded them all to my main file. I also did some held item trading to get nuggets to sell to buy coins. Near the end of this video, I went to the Game Corner in Celadon City to buy coins and earn the last coins needed to buy my first Porygon. My Pokedex reached 206.
