Pokemon Gold Version - GBC playthrough part 52 (recorded 2023-09-15)
0Most of this take was played on a RetroArch emulator with a PS5 controller. The first part was played on the TGB-Dual emulator for the trading sequences.
I have a copy of the game for Game Boy Color but got a new gaming PC and wanted to test how well everything plays on it for convenience.
This is just a full playthrough with the game's audio only and no commentary.
My goal in this playthrough is to catch an unused copy of every Pokemon possible in the wild to back up in PkHex.
During this part I continued from Celadon City with my Pokedex at 212. I traded myself the Porygon holding the up-grade so it could evolve into Porygon2, then I traded myself an extra copy of my Togepi and Tyrogue so I would have a copy of each to use for evolving or breeding more of them without using the actual ones I started with. I also evolved three Eevee with elemental stones and put the last two Eevee in my party to increase their friendship level as I tried to level up Togepi and get a Tyrogue egg.
My Pokedex reached 217 and I saved in Celadon City.
At the end of the video I used PKHex to check the friendship levels of the Eevee and Togepi.
