Pokémon Green Version for NES Review
Bootleg games are unlicensed video games that are sold as if they were official parts of the series they aim to knockoff. They range from simple rom hacks to full fledged productions, but they tend to have a very low quality. In fact, many are hardly playable, if at all. Most seem to originate from China, Russia, or Mexico, and usually end up having little if anything to do with their source material.
Pokémon Green for the Nintendo Entertainment System (well, Famicom), is a bootleg meant to capitalize on the Game Boy game of the same name. Unlike most bootlegs, though, this one seems to be quite good. Is it truly worth your time? Does it have anything to actually do with Pokémon? And is it playable without knowledge of Japanese?
