Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire: Playtester Secret Bases
Bullet Seed confirmed to be one of the best moves of Gen 3.
Hidden in the files of the Gigaleak were sets of files listed as saves for Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. Turns out they were from some of the game's playtesters and, when imported, run perfectly in emulators. While all of them have their own oddities every single one listed for Ruby and Sapphire has their own secret base somewhere, so I decided to import them into Emerald and see what's in each one. Because some of the playtesters have...unique ways of decorating their own bases, a walk through walls code is necessary for exploring some of them.
I wasn't battling seriously in the slightest since I wanted to peek at some of the movesets for some of the Pokemon. While some of the playtesters' choices for Pokemon had some of the obvious picks, like the starters, HM slaves, and legendaries, the others...kind of stumped me. Because these saves were possibly made in the lead ups to Ruby and Sapphire, that means some mons weren't obtainable yet since FireRed and LeafGreen weren't released at the time. One has to wonder where those Eevees came from without those future Gen 3 games.
As a final note, the secret base next to Meteor Falls that I never went into was my personal secret base and not something imported. I didn't miss anything at all. ;)
