So there's this patch for Pokemon Stadium 2 that reenables various debug menus, made by jrra, and one of those menus is actually an entire hex editor for the save file in the first controller's transfer pack. Because of this, in a burst of inspiration, I thought it might be possible to access the GS Ball event through the menu using an actual Crystal cartridge. One quick lookup on TCRF later to know exactly where to look in the save file, I edit the addresses listed, and...

IT WORKED! I now have the GS Ball on my Crystal cart without any sort of cheating device!

You can use this video as a guide if you have an N64 flashcart, transfer pack, and a working Pokemon Crystal cartridge. The SRAM Editor can get a bit wonky at times, but when it works you'll activate the event and have the GS Ball as if you had a Gameshark on hand!

For emulators, while you can technically do this, you're probably better off with a save editor or Gameshark code.
