I have very recently started playing Pokémon Scarlet, and this video is where I go through the differences at around the prologue of the game, which is from where you start up to the game to when you first ride Koraidon in Mesagoza, but I do cut out parts of the video to showcase the differences in Scarlet, this is because I am doing a YouTube playthrough on Violet, I won't record all the whole game, but I might show certain points of the game that are different depending on the version.
I choose to play as the girl for this playthrough, and if you see the name Juliana, which is the canon name for the female protagonist in this game, that is when I am trading with Pokémon Scarlet to get some of the exclusive Pokémon. I decided to go with Fuecoco for this run, and I couldn't even believe my luck, that's two female starters in a row, and in case you haven't been following my Pokémon Violet playthrough, I chose Sprigatito and it was female, and in this game, I got Fuecoco and it was female as well, the chances of a female starter is a 1 in 8 chance, and to get two in a row is almost as rare as finding a Shiny Pokémon, but not rarer.
In Scarlet, the uniforms are orange instead of purple, including Director Clavell's suit, and the school you attend is Naranja Academy instead of Uva Academy in Violet.
I do show various scenes, like the first battle with Nemona, the first encounter with Koraidon at Inlet Grotto, and the first encounter with Arven, you kind of wonder what the relationship between Professors Sada and Turo are, because only one professor is in the game, and throughout Arven's life, he's only known one of his parents, you kind of learn more about Arven's backstory in Path of Legends.
Then I show some stuff in Naranja Academy, like the Scarlet Book showing the Paradox Pokémon, and in Scarlet, the Paradox Pokémon have a prehistoric appearance, in this case, the Donphan is more known for its great tusks, which could be how it got the name Great Tusk.
There is the Occulture books at the library, and I show the ones explaining about the prehistoric Paradox Pokémon, and in Scarlet, the following Pokémon that got prehistoric Paradox variants are Donphan, Jigglypuff, Amoonguss, Magneton, Misdreavus, and Volcarona. In Violet, the Pokémon that got futuristic Paradox variants are Donphan, Delibird, Hariyama, Tyranitar, Hydreigon, and Volcarona, and I don't know if this is a massive spoiler or not, you don't ever encounter the Paradox Pokémon until at the very end of the game with the exception of Great Tusk or Iron Treads depending on the version, but I didn't find any Occulture books that mentioned anything about a prehistoric Salamence, or in Violet, about a futuristic Gardevoir and Gallade hybrid. Paradox Pokémon were not revealed pre-release, there was a trailer a week before release that teased Paradox Pokémon with the appearance of the Paradox Donphan variants.
Then we have the professor, and it is Professor Sada in Pokémon Scarlet, and she reveals that Koraidon was once in her possession, and that its Poké Ball was passed to Arven, which could explain why Arven had Koraidon's Poké Ball when we first met him.
That is about all that I show for this video, and if you are wondering the version exclusive Pokémon Scarlet, the following Pokémon are Larvitar, Drifloon, Stunky, Deino, Skrelp, Oranguru, and Stonjourner, and the Blaze Breed of Paldean Tauros can only be obtained in this version, as well as the Auspicious Armor, which is used to evolve Charcadet into Armarouge, and to get that, you have to trade Bronzor materials with someone in Zapapico, and there is even the prehistoric Paradox Pokémon, which are exclusive to Scarlet, but you don't encounter them till the end of the game.
