Pokemon Soul Silver - Goldenrod City Gym Leader Whitney
7Status of my team so far: Croconaw Lv19, Flaaffy Lv19, Furret Lv19,
Geodude Lv20, Bellsprout Lv20, Fearow Lv20Before I say anything, I was
in heavy training so I can prepare for the gym leader. It paid off big
time as Totodile evolved to Croconaw and Spearow evolved to Fearow.We
reach Goldenrod City and the third gym leader is named Whitney and her
Pokemon consists of the Normal-type. This is a gym leader who can
really put up quite a fight if you are not prepared but if you know
what to expect, she can go down easily.She has the following Pokemon in
her party:Clefairy Lv17, Miltank Lv19Her Clefairy has Cute Charm which
if a Male Pokemon attacks it physically, it can end up infatuated which
can be a problem. Fortunately, she isn't that tough but the real
challenge is her Miltank. Miltank is a heavy hitter with the following
four moves; Stomp, Milk Drink, Attract and Rollout. If she had Defense
Curl then Rollout's power is doubled and that can be bad. Fortunately,
if you have a type that can resist Miltank's attacks, you'll do fine
but be prepared cause the fight can take a long time.After the battle,
she starts crying like a baby just because she lost. *sighs* One of the
Gym Trainers tells ya that you made her cry and tells you that she
always cries when she loses. After the bawling ends, she hands you the
Plain Badge which allows the use of Strength outside of battle not to
mention that your Speed stat increases. You also get TM45 which is
Attract which if used on a Pokemon of the opposite gender can make them
infatuated or in love.The original Gold and Silver had Whitney's
Pokemon one level higher. What gives? Oh well, at least it makes the
fight a bit easier. At least the TM she gives you is the
