Pokemon Soul Silver Walkthrough Part 43
In this episode I take on Karen, the final member of the Elite Four.

Boss Fight: Karen

Umbreon Level 42
Dark (Weak to Fighting, Bug)
Faint Attack
Double Team
Confuse Ray
Payback

Murkrow Level 44
Dark/Flying (Weak to Electric, Ice, Rock)
Sucker Punch
Faint Attack
Pluck
Whirlwind

Vileplume Level 42
Grass/Poison (Weak to Fire, Flying, Ice, Psychic)
Stun Spore
Acid
Petal Dance
Moonlight

Levitate Gengar Level 45
Ghost/Poison (Weak to Psychic, Dark, Ghost)
Focus Blast
Destiny Bond
Spite
Lick

Houndoom Level 47
Dark/Fire (Weak to Water, Rock, Ground, Fighting)
Nasty Plot
Dark Pulse
Flamethrower
Crunch

Strategy:

Umbreon - Stalls with Double Team and lets you take Confusion damage. Your best bet is to use perfect accuracy moves like Vital Throw.

Murkrow - Since its Flying type erases its weaknesses of a Standard Dark Type, use Electric, Ice, or Rock. It's quite fast, and don't set up stat boosts because 1 Whirlwind = no more stat boosts.

Vileplume - Not a Dark type, but a 'nasty' type (Poison). It irritates you with Stun Spore, and heals up with Moonlight. If you set up Rain or Sandstorm or Hail, Moonlight will only heal 1/4 of its HP.

Gengar - As a fast Special Sweeper, watch out for Focus Blast. Fortunately, it is its only Special Attack, its quite inaccurate, and it only has 5 PP. Physical moves are the best, but Special Attacks also work.

Houndoom - Don't let it get up too many Nasty Plots up, as it is very fast and will sweep you with Flamethrower and Dark Pulse.

It's the Champion battle next!
