Here are the team of Pokémon in this video, which was decided by the random number generator.
P1 Team: Cleffa, Crobat, Swinub, Abra, Kingdra, Murkrow
CPU Team: Ninetales, Primeape, Hoothoot, Umbreon, Pikachu, Gengar

Then, I will list the moves for each Pokémon in battle, starting with my team.
Cleffa: Headbutt, Psychic, Encore, Sweet Kiss
Crobat: Fly, Bite, Leech Life, Supersonic
Swinub: Blizzard, Earthquake, Strength, Mist
Abra: Psychic, Ice Punch, Swagger, Attract
Kingdra: Waterfall, Twister, Frustration, Leer
Murkrow: Faint Attack, Fly, Night Shade, Haze

The CPU's team of Pokémon and moves.
Ninetales: Fire Blast, Quick Attack, Roar, Safeguard
Primeape: Cross Chop, Thrash, Curse, Focus Energy
Hoothoot: Fly, Swift, Dream Eater, Hypnosis
Umbreon: Faint Attack, Quick Attack, Sand-Attack, Mean Look
Pikachu: Thunderbolt, Headbutt, Iron Tail, Thunder Wave
Gengar: Night Shade, Thief, Nightmare, Hypnosis

The appearance of Primeape in this battle means that every single Rental Pokémon had made at least one appearance in the Pokémon Stadium 2 Free Battle videos, and this one can be a dangerous opponent because of its high Speed and its high crit rate Cross Chop, but I do have some Flying-types like Crobat to take it on.
Pikachu was the lead, and I had Swinub, and while this does give me a good match-up at the start of the battle, Pikachu does have Iron Tail to deal super effective damage on Swinub, and Pikachu has higher Speed as well.
At least Primeape is easier to switch in against in this game, because in the first Pokémon Stadium, Primeape had Rock Slide, and you couldn't reliably switch in against it as not only did it have high Speed, but it was able to take on Flying-type Pokémon with Rock Slide. Crobat does make a good switch-in as it resists Cross Chop, and Crobat is faster and can deal some good damage to Primeape with Fly.
I did see that each of my Pokémon can take on their respective opponents, Kingdra to fight Ninetales, and doesn't take much from Fire Blast, I have Murkrow to fight Gengar, even if I have Night Shade to watch out for, Cleffa is there for backup as it is immune to Night Shade, doesn't take much damage from Thief, and can use Psychic to deal super effectives hits on Gengar. Abra is there for backup, its Ice Punch is there to fight Hoothoot, and for Umbreon, it will take work from many Pokémon as Umbreon is defensive, but I do have Murkrow's Night Shade to deal fixed damage if I need to.
