Next Pokémon I do for Surprise Trade is Barboach, a Water/Ground-type Pokémon introduced in Gen 3. I breed for 31 IVs in at least 4 or 5 stats, and I don't have a Barboach with the Hidden Ability of Hydration, so they have Oblivious and Anticipation, you can use an Ability Patch to get Hydration on it. I went with Adamant for the Nature, while its evolved form Whiscash has well rounded stats, Attack is its higher stat out of all of them.
For Egg Moves, it learns Spark, Flail, Thrash, and Take Down, I will list which parents in the Water 2 Egg Group that can learn those moves.
Flail: Goldeen, Seaking, Magikarp, Gyarados, Chinchou, Lanturn, Relicanth, Basculin
Spark: Chinchou, Lanturn
Take Down: Chinchou, Lanturn, Qwilfish, Carvanha, Sharpedo, Relicanth, Basculin
Thrash: Gyarados, Whiscash, Basculin

Only four Egg Moves it can learn, Spark is an interesting move out of the moves it can learn, specially when going through the game, that way Barboach has a move that can deal with Water-type opponents. In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, it can learn Hydro Pump, Whirlpool, Dragon Dance, Earth Power, Mud Shot, and Muddy Water, and out of those, I would recommend Hydro Pump, Earth Power, Spark, and Dragon Dance, it learns Hydro Pump from many Water-type Pokémon, like Gyarados, Chinchou, Remoraid, and Wailmer, Earth Power can only be found on Whiscash in the Grand Underground, and it learns Dragon Dance from Gyarados.
Barboach has Mud-Slap and Water Gun for its starting moves, which you can replace Take Down and Thrash for when using it. For level up moves, it learns Rest, Snore, Water Pulse, Amnesia, Aqua Tail, Muddy Water, Earthquake, Future Sight, and Fissure. When it evolves into Whiscash, it learns Thrash upon evolution, and it can relearn Zen Headbutt, Belch, and Tickle.
Then for TMs and TRs, I will be going over what Whiscash can learn, for TMs, it can learn Hyper Beam, Giga Impact, Rock Slide, Icy Wind, Rain Dance, Whirlpool, Weather Ball, Rock Tomb, Sand Tomb, Mud Shot, Bounce, Bulldoze, and Stomping Tantrum, and for TRs, it can learn Hydro Pump, Surf, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Waterfall, Dragon Dance, Earth Power, Stone Edge, Scald, and Liquidation. In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Whiscash can learn Double Team, Strength, and Rock Smash for moves it can learn in those games, but it cannot have Weather Ball, Sand Tomb, Stomping Tantrum, and Liquidation in those games.
Whiscash has no viability in the competitive scene, it had the unfortunate honour to be introduced in the same generation as Swampert, which is considered to be the best Water/Ground-type, and all others have had competitive viability, even Quagsire, a low-tier Pokémon, is used in Ubers, while Gastrodon and Seismitoad have been top-tier Pokémon at some point.
I might as well go over what Whiscash can do in battle, its best stat is HP, and while its stats are well rounded, they seem average, meaning there is no reason to ever use Whiscash unless you really want to be creative. I am aware that Overhazard did use Whiscash in the more recent Pokémon Sword & Shield videos, and the set Overhazard went with was a Hydration set with Rain Dance and Rest, and it has Scald to burn opponents, but then again Overhazard tends to use Pokémon that are unviable and somehow manages to make them work against top-tier threats, and I don't watch every Pokémon YouTuber, but I am sure there are some that have used Whiscash or any low-tier Pokémon in online battles.
I will go over the good, Whiscash can learn Dragon Dance, so it can attempt to sweep by setting up enough Dragon Dance boosts and using Liquidation and Earthquake for its main moves, while Stone Edge, Zen Headbutt, or Bounce can be used as coverage options.
In Double Battles, is there any reason to use Whiscash over Gastrodon? The reason is because Gastrodon has Storm Drain, making it a Pokémon you would use in Double Battles, and as for Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Whiscash can't get Liquidation, and it faces competition from Swampert. I really hope Whiscash gets an evolution in Scarlet & Violet, that way it can make Whiscash stand out from other Water/Ground-type Pokémon, and at the time, they haven't confirmed if Barboach or Whiscash are returning.
As with going through the main game, you can keep Spark on Barboach, while Water Gun and Mud-Slap are there for the early game, it learns Water Pulse at Level 12, and you can pick up the Bulldoze TM in the Wild Area. Whiscash is decent, but the downside is it is outclassed by better options, it's not the worse Pokémon, it's just there are better options.
