This one is where I will start doing random Pokémon, or picking whichever Pokémon I want, so in this case, Minccino was the one I decided to go with, likely to tie in with the Pokémon GO event which will have a special event focusing on Minccino.
Minccino is a Pokémon that I am sure a lot of Black & White players will be familiar with, as it is a Normal-type Pokémon with a good Speed stat, and one of few Pokémon to learn the move Tail Slap.
When doing Surprise Trades, I like having 4-5 IVs (Individual Values) on the Pokémon that I am trading away, and Egg Moves, so Minccino's Egg Moves include Tail Whip, Aqua Tail, Knock Off, and Flail. Knock Off is really useful for Minccino, as that can help remove the target's item, and Minccino is fast.
Starting with this video, I will list which parents you will need in order to get those Egg Moves through level up, and there are some Pokémon that require Chain Breeding to get their Egg Moves, here are the following moves and which Pokémon from the Egg Group can learn those moves.
Aqua Tail: Wooper, Quagsire
Flail: Swinub, Piloswine, Zigzagoon, Linoone, Mamoswine, Cubchoo, Beartic, Bunnelby, Diggersby, Stufful, Bewear
Knock Off: Farfetch'd, G-Farfetch'd, Grookey, Thwackey, Rillaboom, Sirfetch'd
Tail Whip: Pikachu, Raichu, Vulpix, A-Vulpix, Ninetales, A-Ninetales, Ponyta, G-Ponyta, Rapidash, G-Rapidash, Rhyhorn, Rhydon, Eevee, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Wooper, Quagsire, Espeon, Umbreon, Zigzagoon, Linoone, Rhyperior, Leafeon, Glaceon, Sylveon, Skwovet, Greedent, Nickit, Thievul, Yamper, Boltund, Morpeko
Do note that the Kanto variant of Ponyta, and the Alola variant of Vulpix can learn Tail Whip, in case you see G-Ponyta, that means Galarian Ponyta, and A-Vulpix stands for Alolan Vulpix.
These Minccino have a Jolly Nature, as this is the Nature you really want when using Minccino or its evolved form Cinccino, and they do have the Skill Link, Minccino's Hidden Ability, and the best Ability it can get, because when it evolves into Cinccino with the use of a Shiny Stone, it can learn Bullet Seed, Rock Blast, and Tail Slap, and it will always hit 5 times.
Minccino's other Abilities are Cute Charm, which is the worse Ability to go with, and Technician, which is handy, but Skill Link is better.
Now for Minccino's level up moves, it does get some nice moves like Charm, Sing, Encore, After You, Tail Slap, Tickle, and Hyper Voice, but if you evolve it into Cinccino with the Shiny Stone, it can learn about every level up move it can learn, this is a very good change in Gen 8, because previously if you evolved a Pokémon with an evolution stone, they no longer learn any moves, so you miss out on some really good moves.
Then we move onto its TM and TR movepool, and Cinccino does get some interesting moves when going through the game, like the TM moves Thunder Wave, Light Screen, Thief, U-turn, and Attract, and for TRs, it can learn Iron Tail, Seed Bomb, Play Rough, Gunk Shot, Work Up, and a few others. Cinccino does get some Special attacks like Hyper Voice, Thunderbolt, and Dazzling Gleam, but it is more of a Physical attacker, so I wouldn't recommend going with a Special attacking Cinccino, unless you really want to be creative. You can get the Shiny Stone on Route 8, but you can get it earlier in the Wild Area with the Digging Duo, but it depends on luck whether or not you get a Shiny Stone, but if you get it really early, this thing can devastate most of early game with moves like Tail Slap, Bullet Seed, and Rock Blast.
When using Cinccino, the moveset you really want is Tail Slap, Bullet Seed, and Rock Blast, and for your fourth move, you can go with either U-turn or Knock Off, as Cinccino's best stats are Speed and Attack. When you are doing Double Battles, Cinccino does get some nice options, like After You, Helping Hand, Encore, Light Screen, and a few others, so it tends to be more of a supporter in Double Battles, and with its high Speed, After You is good when paired up with a slower partner, like Torkoal, which can do massive damage with Eruption at full health.
Cinccino isn't a top tier Pokémon in competitive battling, it is an under used Pokémon, as there are much better options, but it is there if you want to give some under used Pokémon a try in battle, do also note that some of the Pokémon I might do for Surprise Trades might not be the most viable Pokémon for competitive battling, and when doing online battles, I like to try and use some under used Pokémon, along with some of the over used Pokémon. I have used Cinccino for online battles in a few games ago, like Gen 6, and it has proven to be really useful, so I might end up using a Cinccino in Sword & Shield online battles, as I do like to try different Pokémon out in battle.
