Like with the previous weeks, we get another Cap Pikachu event, this one is the Unova Cap Pikachu, and they did reveal the code for the Kalos Cap Pikachu, but it wasn't live at the time I recorded this video.
For this week, I will be trading Poliwag through Surprise Trade, and I did breed for at least 4 to 5 IVs in 31 stats, or even 6 for some of them. I went with Calm for Poliwag, because out of its two different final forms, Politoed is used more often, so Calm is a suitable Nature for Politoed, but you could go with Bold or Modest, since Politoed can be used as a Special Attacker or as a support Pokémon.
For Egg Moves, I went with Water Pulse, Endeavor, Haze, and Mist, Poliwag does get Splash and Mind Reader, but nobody would want Splash, not even as an Egg Move. I will list which parents in the Water 1 Egg Group that can learn those moves.
Endeavor: Corphish, Crawdaunt
Haze: Wooper, Quagsire
Mind Reader: Poliwrath
Mist: Lapras, Wooper, Quagsire, Lotad, Lombre, Ludicolo, Wingull, Pelipper, Eiscue
Splash: Feebas, Milotic, Clauncher, Clawitzer
Water Pulse: Squirtle, Wartortle, Blastoise, Psyduck, Golduck, Slowpoke, G-Slowpoke, Slowbro, G-Slowbro, Lapras, Slowking, Remoraid, Octillery, Mantine, Wingull, Pelipper, Milotic, Shellos, Gastrodon, Skrelp, Dragalge, Clauncher, Clawitzer, Sobble, Drizzile, Inteleon

Some decent Egg Moves, except for Splash, I even checked to see if Magikarp was in the same Egg Group as Poliwag, and it isn't, yet Feebas is in the Water 1 Egg Group, and Magikarp is in Water 2, despite how similar in appearance both Magikarp and Feebas are.
I will go over Poliwag and Poliwhirl's level up moves before going over the different final forms, it can get Hypnosis, Mud Shot, Bubble Beam, Rain Dance, Body Slam, Earth Power, Hydro Pump, Belly Drum, and Double-Edge. I will go over both forms, Poliwhirl evolves into Poliwrath with the use of a Water Stone, and it learns some Fighting-type moves, like Submission, Circle Throw, and Dynamic Punch, and you will need a King's Rock and to trade in order to evolve Poliwhirl into Politoed, and it can get Perish Song, Bounce, Hyper Voice, and Swagger.
For TM and TR moves, I could go over Poliwhirl's first, it can get Ice Punch, Mega Punch, Mega Kick, Whirlpool, Dig, Thief, Icy Wind, Brick Break, Dive, and Bulldoze, and for TRs, it can learn Surf, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Earthquake, Psychic, Waterfall, Muddy Water, and Scald. Then for each forms, starting with Poliwrath, it can get Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, Payback, Drain Punch, Low Sweep, Superpower, Close Combat, Poison Jab, High Horsepower, Throat Chop, Darkest Lariat, and Liquidation.
Next is Politoed's TM and TR moves, it can get Screech, Weather Ball, Encore, and Focus Blast. For online battles, the reason why these Poliwag have Swift Swim is that turns into Drizzle when it becomes Politoed.
Back in Gen 5, Politoed with Drizzle was used a lot in competitive battling, and its most common teammates were Pokémon with Swift Swim, like Kingdra and Ludicolo, so this lead to Drizzle and Swift Swim being banned in competitive battling, and when Pelipper got Drizzle in Gen 7, Politoed hardly saw that much use. Politoed is a good supporter, it can use Whirlpool and Perish Song to trap opponents and it can switch out once Perish Song count hits 1. For attacking, it can use Scald, Ice Beam, and Earth Power for a Special Attacker, Damp Rock and Eject Button are popular items for Politoed. In Double Battles, Politoed has Helping Hand to support its teammates, and it has Muddy Water to hit both targets, Kingdra and Ferrothorn are its most common teammates, and even the overpowered Dracovish greatly benefits from Politoed's rain.
I could go over Poliwrath, the Natures you would want are Adamant or Jolly, and Poliwrath got some improvements in this game, it can learn Liquidation, Close Combat, and Darkest Lariat, and it has High Horsepower for Double Battles. Poliwrath's notable set is Belly Drum and Sitrus Berry, while Azumarill can do the job better, Poliwrath does have balanced defensive stats, and it has Drain Punch to restore HP. It can be a good Dynamax Pokémon, as Poliwrath can summon its own rain with Max Geyser, activating Swift Swim and it can defeat opponents with Liquidation, Close Combat, and Earthquake.
While Poliwrath isn't as commonly used in Double Battles as Kingdra or Ludicolo, and as a Physical attacker, Barraskewda outclasses it, although Barraskewda isn't as defensive as Poliwrath. Liquidation and Close Combat are its main moves, Poison Jab, Rock Slide, and Darkest Lariat are some good moves to have on it. Poliwrath and Politoed work well together in the rain, as Politoed's Drizzle summons the rain, and Poliwrath can sweep its foes. While it is a Pokémon with well-rounded stats, it was good to see Poliwrath get some improvements in this game.
