I used: Galvantula, Lycanroc (Midnight Form), and Grimmsnarl
My Opponent used: Cloyster, Whimsicott, and Gyarados
Stadium: Hammerlocke
Battle BGM: Team Yell Captain

I decided to try out a themed team for these battles, and this does remind me of the Online Competitions back in Gen 6 where there was some Halloween-themed Online Competition, the first one for X & Y required a full Ghost-type team and you had to include a Super Size Gourgeist on your team, and another in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire where it wasn't limited to Ghost-type Pokémon, it included Pokémon with a spooky theme to it, and I believe Gen 7 did have an Online Competition like that as well, can't remember if it was in Sun & Moon or in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon that had an Online Competition like that, but I really liked themed teams based on the time of year, and there is not one for this game, but there is an upcoming Online Competition for this game that is a Double Battle and allows you to use at least one Legendary or Mythical Pokémon that would normally be banned.
While I did like my opponent's team, there wasn't much to go over, as Gyarados and Whimsicott are two of the most popular Pokémon in online battles, and Cloyster for having access to Shell Smash and moves like Icicle Spear combined with Skill Link.
For my team, Galvantula is more of a lead Pokémon, he has Compound Eyes for his Ability, so he has 91% Accuracy with Thunder, that is the one thing that I like about Galvantula, because with Compound Eyes, you can use Thunder with reliable Accuracy, but it's not perfect. He has Sticky Web to slow down foes that enter battle, Bug Buzz for a Bug-type move, and Energy Ball for coverage, Galvantula is a Pokémon that I really like, and I have been waiting to use for my online battles, but now I get to use one of those.
While the Dusk Form of Lycanroc is the most popular, I saw that Midnight Form is the least used out of the Lycanroc forms, and I decided to give the Midnight Form Lycanroc a try for this one. She has a Choice Scarf for her hold item, and has No Guard for her Ability, and that goes well with Stone Edge and Iron Tail, so that way Lycanroc doesn't have to miss with those moves, Close Combat and Play Rough are good for coverage, while the Midnight Form doesn't have the Speed that the other two forms have, it is a little bit more defensive, and usually some Midnight Form Lycanroc sets use Counter with the Focus Sash, but I decided to use one with the Choice Scarf, and she is really good.
While Grimmsnarl is not meant to be a Pokémon that you would Dynamax in normal terms because most Grimmsnarl sets use screen moves, Thunder Wave, and Trick, but for this one, I do have Trick and Thunder Wave on him, and his held item is Lagging Tail, and I can use Trick to give the Lagging Tail so that the opponent will always go last, no matter the Speed. This Grimmsnarl can Gigantamax, and I wasn't sure whether to go with Foul Play or Sucker Punch, but I find that Sucker Punch is better on an offensive Grimmsnarl for priority, and I do need a Dark-type move in order to use G-Max Snooze, I don't find the effect to be that great, as it has a 50% chance of inflicting the Yawn status on targets, and as Spirit Break can turn into Max Starfall, that does interfere with G-Max Snooze's effect, as Misty Terrain prevents status conditions, but I do tend to forget that flying or levitating Pokémon are not affected by terrain, so even when Misty Terrain is in effect, they can still be inflicted with a status condition.
