This video might be about a week late, but anyway, this is the Wild Area Event themed around small Pokémon, that's what it's called on Serebii.net, so it was the only name I could go with for the title. This event is live from September 9th till September 19th 2022, and the following Pokémon that appear in the Max Raid Battles for this event are Snom, Pincurchin, and Pyukumuku, and there is a rare chance of finding a Shiny Snom in the Max Raid Battles, and it is one of these Shiny Pokémon where it doesn't look much difference than normal.
Going over the Max Raid Battles in this event, starting with Snom, its Hidden Ability is Ice Scales, which reduces damage from Special Attacks, and its type combo of Ice/Bug gives it a lot of weaknesses, including a 4x weakness to Fire and Rock. Its evolved form Frosmoth is a very tricky Pokémon to use because of its weaknesses, and it is a decent Quiver Dance user, but its base Speed stat is below average, it does have a good Special Attack stat and a decent Special Defense stat that pairs well with Ice Scales. Frosmoth learns some good Special moves, like Ice Beam and Bug Buzz for its main STAB moves, or Same Type Attack Bonus, and other Special moves are Giga Drain, Air Slash, Hurricane, and Dazzling Gleam, while it doesn't have the widest coverage, Frosmoth isn't an easy Pokémon to put onto a team if it has way too many weaknesses.
Next is Pincurchin, its Hidden Ability is Electric Surge, and while it did see use occasionally, it was usually for setting up Electric Terrain, and with Tapu Koko, Pincurchin has faded into obscurity. It is a slow Electric-type with well rounded stats except for its low HP stat, and Pincurchin can learn Rising Voltage, if Tapu Koko was able to learn that move, it would have an overpowered move to use. Pincurchin learns a wide variety of moves, like Spikes, Recover, Zing Zap, Discharge, Scald, Toxic Spikes, Memento, and a few other moves, it's a decent Pokémon, but it does face competition with other Electric-type Pokémon.
Pyukumuku has Unnerve for its Hidden Ability, and for a Pokémon with very good Defense and Special Defense stats, this does make it very good at taking hits well, but the downside is Pyukumuku cannot learn any direct attacking moves, the only damaging moves it can use are Counter and Mirror Coat. Pyukumuku is all about inflicting status conditions and lasting as long as it can, it can use Toxic to badly poison its opponent, and if up against a Poison or Steel-type Pokémon, it can use Soak to change their type to Water so that it can poison those Pokémon. Pyukumuku can use Recover to heal its HP, and Pain Split is an option for reducing the opponent's HP if Pyukumuku's HP is lower than the opponent's, Taunt to prevent its opponent from using status moves, while it has decent utility for a Pokémon that can't learn a move that deal direct damage, Pyukumuku is one strange Pokémon.
