After a tough exploration through the mine, it is time to head to Turrfield, and on Route 4, there is a camping tent there, and we do some cooking, so I find this a good way to heal up your team if ever you get into a battle, but I find a Pokémon Center more reliable.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

Route 4 does have a camp site to cook curry, and these can be helpful for restoring your Pokémon. There are some Trainers there, as well as items, including a TM for Pin Missile, which Galaran Zigzagoon can learn.
Now onto encounters, and the most notable is Pikachu or Eevee, Pikachu is more common in Sword, and Eevee is more common in Shield, but they are quite rare as they are a 5% encounter, and in the opposite version they are a 1% encounter.
Starting with Pikachu, it will have Electro Ball when caught, and you can reteach moves like Charm and Nasty Plot on it, and with a Thunder Stone, you can immediately evolve it into Raichu, and it will learn Thunder Punch upon evolution. You don't have to worry about when to evolve Pikachu, as Raichu can relearn Thunderbolt. It is a good Electric-type with good Speed and offensive capabilities, so if you get lucky and find a Pikachu, it's a good team member.
Then we have Eevee, which can evolve into eight different Pokémon, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon. They did also change it so you can get Leafeon and Glaceon with a Leaf Stone and Ice Stone respectively, so you can get them earlier. All of Eevee's level up moves can be relearned by their evolved forms, so having Double-Edge on Flareon this early can be good. It will take up description space to go over each one of them, but go with your favourite Eevee evolution, they are good in their own way.
For the more common encounters, Electrike is a solid option, it will have Shock Wave at Level 16, it is a speedy attacker that evolves into Manectric at Level 26. If you have TRs for Thunderbolt and Flamethrower, you will be set, as Manectric has good Special Attack, and I would recommend it if you are in need of an Electric-type.
Next up is Pumpkaboo, and they come in different sizes, Small, Average, Large, and Super. To evolve it into Gourgeist, you will need to trade, larger Gourgeist have higher Attack and lower Speed, while it is the opposite for smaller ones. Gourgeist is very defensive, and good user of Leech Seed, Shadow Sneak will be its main move until Phantom Force later on, it's not a bad option unless you have a way to trade.
Meowth does get a Galarian Form, it is a Steel-type, and the first time Meowth gets three regional variants, Kanto, Alola, and now Galar. I recommend getting one with Tough Claws, as it boosts the power of moves like Metal Claw and Payback. The Galarian Meowth does not evolve into Persian, it instead becomes a different Pokémon, and it will get Iron Head upon evolution. When evolved, it will have good Attack and Defense, but it is a bit slower, it's not a bad option for a Steel-type, but it can fill in for the team well.
Next is Milcery, and if you have any of the Sweet item and spin, you can immediately evolve it into Alcremie. They come in different variations depending on the Sweet you give Milcery upon evolution. Alcremie has good Special Attack and Special Defense, and it will have Draining Kiss. If you are looking for a Fairy-type to add to your team, Alcremie is a decent addition.
Then we have the Electric/Bug-type Joltik, this tiny Pokémon has good Speed, and it does get some nice moves like Electroweb and Electro Ball, but it isn't until Level 36 that it will evolve into Galvantula. I recommend getting one with Compound Eyes, because once it evolves into Galvantula, teach it Thunder through the TR and it will be 91% accurate, so this is a good Pokémon to consider for your team.
Cutiefly is Bug/Fairy, and it is a decent option once it gets Draining Kiss, unfortunately Cutiefly did get a bit of a nerf, where Silver Wind is removed from the game. It will get Pollen Puff once it evolves into Ribombee, it has high Speed and good Special Attack, and it is not a bad option to consider, even though it doesn't get its good moves till later.
Next is Budew, and it is unfortunately not that good, you're better off catching it as a Roselia in the Wild Area. Now to go over Roselia, if you picked up a Shiny Stone, you can immediately evolve it into Roserade and reteach some great moves like Giga Drain, Roserade has massive Special Attack, so it is a huge recommendation, but only if you caught a Roselia in the Wild Area.
Then we have Ferroseed, a Steel/Grass-type with Iron Barbs, and a 1% encounter, but good Pokémon if you get lucky, but it doesn't evolve until Level 40. Ferrothorn is a great defensive Pokémon, and it is not a bad choice to consider.
