Cyrus is the next Evil Team boss to face, his team slightly differing depending on the version of the game being played. Whereas Dialga is used in Ultra Sun as his signature mon, Palkia takes its place in UM, with its less common weaknesses to dragon and fairy making things more interesting for us.

Against lead Houndoom, I couldn't think of a better lead than the specially tanky Gyarados. It cannot outspeed its target even after a Dragon Dance boost, for which I blame its -speed nature, lacking the raw strength to outright OHKO. Choice Band's boost ensures the OHKO happens anyway.

Rotom-Wash continues showing its prowess here, beating Honchkrow in speed and annihilating it with Thunderbolt, targeting its weakest stat. Crobat, albeit more bulky than Rotom's previous victim, still cannot endure a Specs-boosted bolt.

Weavile may be fast and proficient offensively, but its STABs and coverage moves can do little to the numerous checks that target one of its weaknesses. Mega Aggron used in this video is a case in point.

Palkia presents the biggest challenge to us in this battle. Blissey, while not quite able to tank it endlessly taking Spacial Rend's high crit ratio into account, can leave a light screen up, reducing Palkia's defence by one level with Tail Whip, after which it can either kill itself with Healing Wish (a suicidal version of Volt Switch/U-Turn, in a way) or die, which is what happens in the video. All this preparation enables Granbull to take out the boss in a single Twinkle Tackle. The Tail Whip is unnecessary on higher damage rolls, but I just had to be certain.
