Here are the Pokémon selected for this match, I am using Blastoise in this match, Pokémon UNITE has just got an update, and Blastoise is now available in the game, so I am trying out the new Pokémon in this video, I will list the other players.

KnooBoat - Venusaur

If you are wondering the weekly rotation, right now it is Crustle, Garchomp, Absol, and Cramorant. I will go over Blastoise, as it was recently included in this game, and I don't expect to see Blastoise being part of the rotation, because neither Gardevoir or Blissey have been in the weekly rotation, and likely never will be.
Blastoise is a Defender, Intermediate, and Ranged, it starts off matches as Squirtle, and its basic attack becomes a boosted attack every third attack, and it decreases the movement speed of opposing Pokémon for a short time when the move hits.
For starting moves, Squirtle has Water Gun or Skull Bash, I recommend starting with Water Gun, this move shoves opposing Pokémon and decreases their movement speed for a short time. Skull Bash has Squirtle ram into the opposing Pokémon and leave them unable to act.
At Level 5, Squirtle will evolve into Wartortle, and it learns Hydro Pump or Water Spout, which replace Water Gun. Hydro Pump has Wartortle blast a huge volume of water, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon and shoving them when it hits, and Water Spout decreases the movement speed of opposing Pokémon in the area of effect from the spout of water for a short time.
At Level 7, Wartortle learns Surf or Rapid Spin, which replace Skull Bash. Surf has Wartortle charge forward on a wave, shoving opposing Pokémon and leaving them unable to act, and Wartortle becomes immune to hindrances when using that move, and it can jump to a designated location when the move ends. Rapid Spin changes the mechanics of its basic attacks as well as Hydro Pump or Water Spout while spinning rapidly.
At Level 9, Wartortle will evolve into Blastoise, and its Unite Move is Hydro Typhoon, which it gets at Level 9. When used, Blastoise spouts water while spinning, throwing opposing Pokémon in a large area, and it grants Blastoise a shield.
At Level 11, Hydro Pump or Water Spout will be upgraded, and they both have increased damage while using the move. At Level 13, Surf or Rapid Spin are upgraded, Surf grants Blastoise a shield while using the move, and Rapid Spin reduces the damage Blastoise takes while using the move.
Blastoise's Ability is Torrent, which gives it a boost to Attack and Special Attack when its HP is below half. Its stats are very well rounded, being more focused on Endurance, and less on Offense. I went with the Recommended Set for Blastoise, which was Rocky Helmet, Leftovers, and Assault Vest, as those are what you would expect when using a Defender role character, it does make use of other items, like Buddy Barrier, Wise Glasses, and Energy Amplifier depending on what role you want to go with. Blastoise works better in the Top Lane, and for its moves, Hydro Pump and Surf work best together, while Water Spout and Rapid Spin can be used if you want to go offensive with Blastoise. Rapid Spin is good when Blastoise is surrounded, so you can use Hydro Pump or Water Spout while using Rapid Spin to get in some damage, and its Unite Move covers a large area, so this is really good when up against Zapdos, so that you can defeat Zapdos before the other team does.
As Blastoise is very recent, there is not too much info on it at the time, but on Game8, which is what I use to look up info on how to use some of the Pokémon in this game, Blastoise works well with teammates with good damage output, like Cramorant, and they work well together, as Cramorant is not that good at taking hits, while Blastoise can serve well as a Defender. Wigglytuff is another good teammate, as it has some moves that can disable opposing Pokémon while Blastoise can get in some damage with either a Rapid Spin set or with Surf and Hydro Pump.
