This video is done on Quick Battle, not on Standard or Ranked, and this stage is exclusive to Quick Battle, this is Shivre City, and all matches there are 4-on-4, and the Pokémon that appear on this map are Alolan Meowth and Snom. Electrode appears on the map, and after the first hit, Electrode will explode after a short while, so try and take it out quickly, you do get 10 points for defeating Electrode, and in the middle of the map is Avalugg, which will spawn 1 minute in, and this is a tough Pokémon, as it has a lot of health, defeating Avalugg gives 20 points and players get an ice aura that slows down opponents and gives your goal a shield, and in the final minute, Snom and Alolan Meowth evolve into Frosmoth and Alolan Persian respectively.
As I am using Venusaur in this video, it is time to go over it, Venusaur is an Intermediate Pokémon that is a Ranged style and its role is an Attacker. Venusaur's Ability is Overgrow, which allows Venusaur to deal more damage if its HP is low, and its basic attack deals increased damage every third attack, and the vines pull in opposing Pokémon.
Venusaur starts off a match as Bulbasaur, and its first two special moves are Seed Bomb and Razor Leaf, both have good range, both moves deal damage to opposing Pokémon in its area of effect, Seed Bomb is ranged, and Razor Leaf is an area move. At Level 5, Bulbasaur will evolve into Ivysaur, and it will learn Sludge Bomb or Giga Drain, replacing Seed Bomb. Sludge Bomb has the same area of effect as Seed Bomb, and the opposing Pokémon in the area of effect will take damage over time, decreasing their movement speed and Special Defense for a short time, and Giga Drain heals Ivysaur, and eventually Venusaur, when the attack hits, and it reduces the damage the user receives for a short while.
When Ivysaur reaches Level 7, it will learn Solar Beam or Petal Dance, which replace Razor Leaf. Solar Beam is a long ranged attack that deals damage to opposing Pokémon in its area of effect, and Petal Dance increases movement speed for a short time and deals damage to opposing Pokémon that are in the area of effect of that move.
At Level 9, Ivysaur will evolve into Venusaur, and it will learn its Unite Move, Verdant Anger, Venusaur will launch a giant seed towards the designated area, it splits apart, damaging opposing Pokémon in the area of effect and decreases their movement speed for a short time.
At Level 11, Sludge Bomb or Giga Drain will be upgraded, Sludge Bomb's area of effect will be increased, and Giga Drain heals the amount of HP the move restores. At Level 13, Solar Beam or Petal Dance will be upgraded, Solar Beam reduces the length of time before the move is fired and reduces cooldown, and Petal Dance's area of effect is increased.
When using Venusaur, pairing Sludge Bomb and Solar Beam is a good strategy, or you could pair Giga Drain and Petal Dance for a defensive set. Venusaur has some good long ranged attacks, like Solar Beam and Sludge Bomb, so it is a good character to use if you like using ranged attacks.
