This video was recorded weeks ago, it was during a weekend event where every Pokémon is available to all players, and this was where I tested out Sableye, and this was around when Urshifu was first added. An update was announced with some new Holowear, a Team Battle Mode which is Red Team vs Blue Team, and they also announced that Dragapult in the next Pokémon to be added into the game.
Going over Sableye, it is a Supporter, but it isn't a healer like Blissey or Clefable, and it doesn't have supporting skills like Hoopa does, Sableye is more about disrupting targets than supporting allies. Sableye's Ability is Prankster, when it is outside of the visual range of opposing Pokémon, it enters stealth and its movement speed is increased, and when it enters the visual range, it remains in stealth for a short time, and it lasts longer when approaching Pokémon from behind, it exits stealth when it attacks. Sableye's basic attack is a boosted attack every three hits, and it will apply a fear effect when the boosted attack hits while Sableye is in stealth, and the moment it enters stealth, it will have its boosted attack right away.
Sableye's starting moves are Thief and Astonish, Thief is a dash attack that decreases the movement speed of opposing Pokémon for a short time, and it steals a small amount of Aeos Energy, otherwised, they will be left unable to act for a short time. Astonish decreases the movement speed of opposing Pokémon for a short time, and the effect and damage is greater if the move hits from behind.
At Level 4, Sableye learns Knock Off or Shadow Sneak, they replace Thief, with Knock Off, Sableye moves in a designated direction, the first attack leaves opposing Pokémon unable to act for a short time, and the second attack throws opposing Pokémon, and any Aeos Energy held by opposing Pokémon will be dropped, and while the move is used, Sableye receives less damage. Shadow Sneak increases Sableye's movement speed when it enters stealth, making its next boosted attack deal additional damage, and if it exits stealth due to a hindrance, it will be able to enter stealth again.
At Level 6, Sableye learns Feint Attack or Confuse Ray, they replace Astonish, Feint Attack has Sableye throw fake Aeos Energy at a designated location, and can only be in up to five locations, and any opposing Pokémon that try to pick it up will take damage and have their movement speed decreased. Confuse Ray deals damage and leaves opposing Pokémon confused, and when opposing Pokémon are confused, they can even attack their allies with basic attacks.
Sableye's Unite Move is Chaos Glower, which it learns at Level 8, Sableye shoots light from both of its eyes, and this forces opposing Pokémon to return to the base, but when they take damage, the effect is cancelled, and any opposing Pokémon not facing Sableye will have their movement speed decreased for a short time, and for some reason on Serebii.net, the move is listed as Phantom Ambush.
At Level 10, Knock Off or Shadow Sneak are upgraded, for Knock Off, when Sableye picks up Aeos Energy after using the move, it restores HP and has its movement speed increased, and for Shadow Sneak, the move's effect has increased duration, and while Sableye is in stealth, it will recover HP.
At Level 12, Feint Attack or Confuse Ray are upgraded, if Feint Attack knocks out an opposing Pokémon, they will drop more Aeos Energy than usual, and Confuse Ray increases the movement speed and basic attack speed of opposing Pokémon after leaving them confused.
Due to Sableye's playstyle where it enters stealth, good items for it are the Attack Weight and Aeos Cookie for whenever it scores goals, the Float Stone to give it extra movement speed, and the Exp. Share can help with gaining experience while helping allies out. Sableye is more about disrupting the opposing team, it does have downsides, it isn't much of a damage dealer, and unlike other Supporters, it cannot heal its teammates.
