With the world open to the player, I head off west to cortonado. On the way, I find some new Pokémon such as Gimmighoul (9:00). Before I arrive at the town, I find a terastallized Diglett (14:25) which is a rock type, and Fuecoco evolves into Crocalor after the battle (16:47). I take on a few more trainers in the province before I finally arrive at town (26:17). We meet Nemona at the gym (27:47), then I register for the gym challenge (28:25). It’s the Olive Roll, which is a pretty simple minigame. After completing it, we earn the right to face the gym leader, Katy. Since she specializes with Bug type Pokémon, she isn’t too difficult since we have Crocalor to easily win the battle and earning the gym badge (36:37). Afterward, I explore a bit more of the West Province so I can add another Pokémon Center to my list of fly locations. On the way there, I catch a Ghastly and add it to my party.

I head back to Mesagoza (54:23) and exit through the eastern gate and head through the southern province (area 3) so I can go to Artazon. On the way, I find a Charcadet (1:04:03) and manage to catch it. I perform a glitch where I am able to access a plateau early (1:05:43), which houses a stake. I pull it (1:06:49), thinking it would help Charcadet evolve, but we will find out in the postgame what the stake was for. Once I make it to the Pokémon Center, I go through more of the southern province and battle more trainers and find another Gimmighoul (1:18:38) before eventually finding Klauf, the Stony Cliff Titan (1:23:21). I battle it on my own (1:23:50), where it runs away before it can faint. It goes back to its original location where it powers itself up, but Arven helps out this time (1:25:30). After finally defeating it, your team will get some experience, and after a lengthy cutscene with Arven, Miraidon gains the ability to dash (1:30:55), which will be useful for an upcoming skip. On the way to Artazon, I show what happens if you jump into a Team Star base from anywhere other than the front door (1:33:40), then finally arrive at Artazon (1:39:20). I meet Nemona at the gym again (1:41:04), then register for the gym challenge (1:41:50). This time, you have to find 10 Sunflora that are hiding in the town, with their locations always being random and some even battling you before being caught. Once I find all of them, I take on the Gym Leader, Brassius, who uses grass type Pokémon, which is an easy win with Crocalor even with is suddenly raining. After defeating him, I meet Hassel (1:52:55), who is a member of the Elite Four and teaches art at the academy.

I head on to East Province (Area One) and take on some trainers before ending up at a Team Star base and meeting a new character, Clive (1:59:49). I encounter a blockade by Team Star (2:02:03), but I find a way around it (2:02:30) thanks to Miraidon’s dash ability and end up in East Province (Area Two). I go through this new area and have trouble with a wild Tauros (2:09:04), so I heal up and head back out, eventually arriving at Levincia (2:22:28). I encounter Nemonia once again (2:26:40) and have another battle with her. After defeating her, I register for the gym challenge (2:31:58), where you participate in Iono’s livestream. Here, you have to find Director Clavell in different locations along with defeating the gym trainers in battle. After completing the challenge, I take on the Gym Leader Iono, who uses electric types. This is the first gym battle where that Crocalor, so I feed it some X items before sweeping her team. Even then, her Mismagius is pretty tough since it outspeeds and confuses him, but I manage to get the win. After obtaining the badge, Champion Greeta introduces herself (2:51:58), then I restock on some X items before saving outside the city.
