After last week's AI cheat in which it got 8 new convoys, I'm once again trying to reduce the number of Spanish convoys to a lower number, good enough to capture a town from them. But, as I discovered at the end of this episode, it was in vain.

Because of the high number of convoys the Spaniards have and because the French weren't at war with the Spaniards, I have decided to change my approach.
Instead of giving all countries 15 cities and let them do a city swap in their wars, I'm going to fully support the Dutch in their wars, capturing cities from the other nations and thus get my other player cities from them, before deciding to assist the other nations.

I hope by doing that, I will be able to use the trading aspect of this game a bit more, as that would also force me to start looking into growing cities by building industries and houses again.

That may take a bit, though, as at the end of the episode, France declared war on Spain again. So the Spaniards are back at 23 fleets. Just after I got them down to 18. sigh
