I've been preparing some time for this, but today it's finally time to take out Moder. Which means it's going back to the mountains and summoning her, as the eggs are already in place.

The fight turned out to be somewhat more difficult as I remember it would be. I'm usually doing the fight with fire arrows, as the damage stacks over time, while the poison damage doesn't. But since the obsidian arrows do more piece damage, I thought it would be a better idea to use those instead.
I'm not certain if that was a wise idea, as I eventually ran out of arrows and had to finish her off using my (iron!) sword.

Still, the job got done, the trophy got hung up on the sacrificial stone, so it was time to prepare for the next part of the journey. Which means going to the plains, but even before that, a detour to the Bog Witch was made to collect the new ingredients for the Mountain feast.
Not to mention, all those new crafting stations I had to build!

Only after all those were crafted, I did head out to the plains. Had an encounter with some Fulings, but also got my first barley, meaning more recipes being unloced and hopefully not too long before I got a full field of barley waiting to be used in even more recipes.
