Portal is a puzzle platformer with a goofy gimmick that makes you fling. But of course this contains questions like "Why can I fling" "How do these portals work" and my personal favorite, "Help I installed the portal first slice demo and I can't get it off my computer."
All of that and more will be explained, this is Portal (1+2) explained poorly.

The first game has some elements that can be combined in scary ways. One of these elements in the formentioned portals. With a weapon, you can create these spooky monstrosities. Then you can go through them. This is a little bit more complex than first meets the eye, so give me a minute. The portals can be placed on any "portable" surface. No, this does not mean if you can move it you can place a portal on it. This term is used in the game to describe an object (that is typically white) that can have a portal on it. When you place two portals of opposite colors, the game automatically connects them and allows you to travel through them. Another thing, all your momentum can be transfered through the portals. This means if you fall from a great hight and place a portal horizontally, you will be flinged through the reality of time and be placed in half life 3. To avoid this, you can't. Just hope you don't fall into half life 3. That game is spooky. Then there are cubes. These cubes are very cubey. Some may say they are cubed. But some of these cubes are spheres. Do not trust the spheres. They are only here to hurt you. But then there are companion cubes. These companion cubes are not friendly, and will hurt you. Trust me. They will. Then there is things that could hurt you. These things contain bullets, which are full of lead. Avoid consuming the bullets they forcefully dispensce into you. These things will hurt you because they do not like you. There is also the friendly gelliton. It goes UwU and then you die. You dummy. You silly billy. You goofy goober.
The second game adds more elements to the mix, such as light bridges, this is a metaphore for the escape you eventually get. There are also lazers, because lazers are cool. And the biggest addition, gels. A blue gel to bounce off of walls. This can be used to bounce off the floor too. And if your skilled enough, bounce off the celing. Then there is the orange gel. This gel makes you speedy. This makes your ability to jump off a cliff that much more effective. Then there is the white gel. This basically makes it so you can join the resistance. Then the clear water. This just reverses the effects of the gels, making it unbouncable, unspeedable, and unportable. Also there was a cut feature where you could suck up enemies with the relocation tubes you find in the game.

The story is funny. You enter the personality test. You wake up, only to have a masochistic robot tell you to play a puzzle game and then kill her. That's pretty twisted, but you do it anyway. You go through a bunch of puzzles. Like the one where you died in a fire. That was funny. Or the one where she bombarded you with turrets. Oh you. But then you fall into fire, because you're just clumsy. It makes you quirky. You wake up from the personality test. You were identified as quirky and as punishment, you had to play a puzzle game involving portals. I wonder where that idea came from. You then meet a ball. This ball is called Wheatly. Wheatly is a pogchamp who helps you thoughout the game. Wheatly puts you in a room. This room explains you are quirky and tests you. Then you see the remains of... her. Then she says you killed her. She proceeds to gaslight you into feeling sad. Then you find a double portal gun, the ultamate gun.
This gun has limitless potential, such as the ability to fire an orange portal, and if your lucky, the power to create a blue portal. You continue to the next tests, lazers. After that boring test you see the light. The light compells you. You accidentily die but then are cast into a turret test fire because you are not allowed to die. Then you find the orb again. The orb tells you to push a button. So you do that. But this button was a bad button. I told you the orbs were evil. So now you're falling. A very big fall might I add. Then you land. It probably hurt. You continue. Then you find the liquid blue. This is a very facinating science because it's blue, and not orange. [REST CUT OUT BECAUSE FML]
