[東方 Post Rock] Akane — Eternal Shrine Maiden is Searching for Answers (album ver.)
20And here we have surely one of the most important arrangements from the entire album. In terms of story, musical characteristics, and my personal experience. See, there is something special about this song - the moment I started making it, I understood that this sound is what I've always wanted to make. Don't get me wrong, I am content with my previous albums, but I always thought that I wanted my music to be a bit different. It's a bit hard to describe. More powerful, impactful, maybe? Definitely with a lot more heavier tones, which I for the life of me couldn't get in my first albums.
And yeah, this track is where I immediately realized that I "got" it. It's also the very first arrangement of the album that I have completed, so it did fantastic job of setting the atmosphere and forming a story.
Additional fun fact: I (myself, not a lyrical hero of the album) did in fact dream once of being Reimu. Although the story of that dream was completely different, I can tell you for certain that it did have some impact on me deciding to expand on the concept.
