[東方 Post Rock] Akane — Higan
49There have been many requests to upload the tracks from the new album separately, so for the next few weeks I will be doing exactly that, I also want to use this opportunity to talk about some specific details of the songs.
So, Higan. This track might not be as much of a banger as most of the others on the album, but I think it does fantastic job of setting the right tone for the rest of the journey. The moment I got those piano passages in the beginning I knew that was it, the whole feel of the album was born that day. And honestly, this has to be one of the most important things when you make a story. A clear beginning.
Also I just have to say a few words about the fantastic work that my cover artist did on the manga pages. I was amazed at how she got the atmosphere of the story I'm telling in the exact same way that I saw it in my head. I even regretted releasing the album so soon, because I cannot imagine how fantastic it would have been to have more pages. Hell, we could've made a whole doujin manga out of this. But in any case I'm very happy and grateful to kbd04 for her work!
