[東方 Post Rock] Akane — Otherworldly Procession
26Some tracks I can make spontaneously in just a couple of days. Others could take years of thinking and trying out different things without much success, until it eventually clicks, and the song just works. This one is the second type. I've wanted to do an arrangement of this track ever since my first album, so the idea was in my head for at least 6 years.
And all of that because I've been completely captivated by a different arrangement of Night Sakura that I've heard all these years ago. A beautiful song called "Remind" by Chata, which I encourage you to listen to. The part that starts at 01:57 is actually a direct reference to Remind.
I'm glad that I was able to finally find a place for this arrangement on Dreams from the World of Spirits. It fits into the story really well, emphasizing the dark, yet calm atmosphere. The breakdown especially made me happy. I rarely do those, so I have to make each of them count.
