For those who don't know, Power Stone was a full 3D fighting game exclusive to the SEGA Dreamcast, and to be honest one of my favorites. The sequel, Power Stone 2, removed much of the finer and skillful mechanics of the first game and made it into more of a party game, what with an entire book of items to use, more characters, and the introduction of moving stages.

It's hard to appreciate as a fighting game, but imo it's a top notch party game. That being said the 1 player adventure mode can be tough at the highest level (8), what with the game's cheap A.I. and damage outputs there.

Didn't plan on doing Pride this early, but I thought I might as well. Being the father of Falcon, Pride's adventure mode is pretty similar. The major difference is that Pride HAS THE WORST DEFENSE IN THE GAME. Therefore, unlike Falcon, it's way too risky to try and attack the enemy with anything but Power Fusions.

Speaking of Fusions, his two are quite powerful and he's probably the only character that has two powerful AND useful Fusions. His first, which I guess is called Extreme Tornado, is basically Falcon's rising dragon-shouryuken power drive from the first game on steroids. It sucks by itself, but its real usefulness comes with fast fingers. If you tap like a madman, the range will increase tremendously and the damage will also rise incredibly. It's so safe to use it's not even funny, since chances are the enemy will get caught in it if you are anywhere near them.

HIs other Fusion, Directional Missles, is similar to Falcon's Power Explosion/Missle Armageddon/whatever you want to call it, except the missles don't home. Fortunately the damage is ridiculously high, and he shoots TWO WAVES. While it's kind of a luck thing to use against regular enemies, the Pharoah Walker and Dr. Erode get raped by it since they are huge targets.

Despite his low defense, Pride has it easier than most characters if you know how to hit-and-run.
