Why am I posting this ?
The level of lack of understanding people who claim to be computer experts is straight up frightening.
I had one guy describe this entire process as just POST, and don't even know what the acronym stands for. Or that the PC needs clock signals, or power, Or even how what ACPI is.
University of waterloo seems to be the biggest offender of having mentally deficient computer scientists.
I believe they may be a diploma mill for fake computer scientists.
Their recent graduates lack even basic understanding of technology and all have an attitude of that they are the smartest in the world. (They sure didn't go to MIT so this makes me laugh hard).
I haven't been a computer technician since I was 19 years old.
But it genuinely scares me that not only have me moved towards throwing away boards. But not even remotely understanding how the technology experts are supposed to be fixing or working with.

The majority of their product lines motherboard design documents and files have been online to enable board level repair.
