What the hell, Type D shows a good chunk of this game's design problems and glitches!
Precious Star is fun, really. Surprisingly, the secret ship is actually the most orthodox of them all. The main shot is reliable at least on normal stage to offset the very short special shot: The sword. On Stage 1 through Stage 5 it's quite fun and manageable. But upon Stage 6... the power doesn't recharge quickly. That's fine and all, but this ship also follows the usual rule: Get hit and your Power, and in this case, bomb gauge, goes down. That drastically lowers your chance to win against the Stage 6 boss!
Strangely enough when you beat the final boss' phase you'll be given 1 power level when you start the game on Stage 6, but on normal playthrough this doesn't happen. I wonder if this is by design for training purposes or if this is a bug...
