Leading into the AMD Ryzen R5 2400G & R3 2200G APU benchmarks (Raven Ridge), we're testing the GT 1030 & G4560 / R3 1200, preparing for a test vs. the new APUs. The benchmark looks at low-end, cheap gaming PC builds to see if they're worth it, and will be followed-up posthaste with our AMD R5 2400G review & benchmark. We hope to shortly accompany the 2400G testing with 2200G testing, alongside usual feature tests that are already planned. Memory frequency and speed play a big role in APU performance, as the memory pool is shared between the Ryzen CPU and Vega GPU components. Current memory prices skew testing approaches at the low-end, and current GPU prices skew considerations in the mid-range. The result is a tumultuous, interesting market for an AMD APU launch.
