This benchmark looks at AMD APU performance on the R5 2400G, primarily focusing on memory scalability. The point isn't to benchmark straight frequency performance (remember: we're not normalizing for timings, we're just testing complete kits stock, with stock XMP on each board), but to benchmark a few kits on a few boards. This testing includes the Gigabyte Gaming K5 motherboard, linked below (as we prefer it), the ASRock Pro4, and the B350 Tomahawk.
The benchmarks focus on gaming benchmarks with 2400MHz vs. 2933MHz & 3200MHz memory, along with CL14, CL15, and CL16 kit testing. Single- vs. dual-channel testing is performed on our best-performing kit. Our R5 2400G benchmarks primarily focus on eSports titles, like Rocket League, Overwatch, CSGO, and DOTA2.
