Very pretty for a VR title and remains performant even at 120 Hz. Hopefully there are more biomes in future levels.

The audio could get a tad loud at times and it would be nice if the deep voiced narrator was a tad louder or the game audio was reduced while he was speaking.

The gameplay is much more arcadey than I was expecting. This ins't necessarily a bad thing just not quite what I was expecting going in.

Melee combat is less about precision and more about blindly swinging for the head. Even on the hardest setting combat was simultaneously laughably easy and extremely chaotic. Often times you don't know why you got hit or from where. I couldn't tell how to prevent that damage. Parrying seemed to work in a slow one on one fight but with larger numbers it seemed a less reasonable option. To be honest though it didn't seem to matter as we were flooded with armor and health items.

For the icing on the combat cake, waggling to win appears to be a thing. You're going to play this for the story experience more than the combat.

For some the combat would be a deal breaker however you open up to ranged combat in later levels which turns the game into more of a FPS than a hack and slash. To me it feels more like a power fantasy style game that's in need of more polish than any sort of melee focused game like Blade and Sorcery, Karnage Chronicles or Vanishing Realms. Set expectations appropriately going in.

Things I would like to see improved upon in the final release.
General melee combat polish. I need to know where damage is coming from. Why am I getting hurt and how do I stop it? More emphasis on skill and less on wild swings.
A hard mode that is actually hard.
Audio ducking when the BBEG is narrating so I can actually hear him.
More consistent item interaction. Some things are picked up by walking over them and some have to be picked up by bending over to grab them.
Polish around movement. There's just something that's a tad off.
Index controller orientations or a setting to reorient hands.

Overall an enjoyable experience. I'm curious to see what happens with the story but I may wait for the full release to jump back in. If the rest of the levels are consistent with he first 4 you'll likely get a significant number of gameplay hours out of the game to make the price tag worth while.
