That's right, you can deliver yourself back inside the tree temple before the end of the game if you play your cards right. Unfortunately it's not very useful, but at least now we know.

You must hang at a correct spot inside the temple right before leaving it at the start of the game. Then, you have to play the game until you get to a pole/railing for doing the teleportation glitch, as simple as that. Well, not that simple to be honest - it took a while to find out a route by which to get to a pole without resetting your last hanging location coordinates in the process.

First parts of the vid: I enter the city areas through the middle entrance. Here's just solutions to a few trouble spots where you'd normally have to grab a wooden wall ledge (which counts as hanging and must be avoided). I end up at the front of The Cauldron, where there is railing.

Then: the temple only loads if you hit the loading trigger at the doorway. In the first attempt I end up in the corridor leading outside, trapped basically. Almost everything looks normal, although the collision reflects that of the ruined temple. For some strange reason, everything unloads without warning and I get stuck in nothingness. (on a later attempt not shown here, I end up in the corridor but it didn't unload like this.)

Then: if you set up your hanging location as the spot I appear on this clip, you trip the loading trigger automatically as you teleport. The same is true here, everything looks to be fine, but the ground is actually mostly missing. You can't do much here even with extended jump because the wall vines are inactive, as you can see. Tried to reach the mini-fertile ground close by, but to no avail... (overall I spent about an hour in the temple, trying out various things but having no success. Saving and loading caused me to end up back at The Cauldron as if nothing had happened.)

At the end of the vid: as a bonus, I'll show you two failed attempts of old-fashioned breaking and entering into the temple with jumps. Me and Kazooie tried to find collision oddities or anything to give us advantage for getting in the temple from the nearby yard areas. The first clip is actually guest played by him, if I recall correctly. We get freakishly far past the corner, but nothing awaits but a void down there. In the second clip the ceiling of the balcony becomes breached, but this was extremely hard to reproduce and I deemed this attempt hopeless anyway since you are too high when doing this.
