Ubisoft has reaffirmed that the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake is still on track for release before the end of March 2026.

After five tumultuous years, Ubisoft's Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake is now "deep" in development

This confirmation comes after previous delays and skepticism surrounding the project. The remake is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal, the studio behind the original game, and is being rebuilt from the ground up with modern techniques.

No details were shared with respect to how far gone into development the game is and or when fans should expect a first look, save for that it is ongoing. Although the post does include a photo of a palace which is believed to be from the game.

Ubisoft simply says, "Yep, we're still deep in the game - exploring, building, and ensuring the sands move with purpose. This game is being created by a team that truly cares, and they're pouring their hearts (and a lot of coffee) into every step. Thank you for sticking with us."
